1: Certification. A trusted auto mechanic should at the very least have Auto Service Excellence (ASE) accreditation, and may have manufacturer-specific accreditation as well. Look for accreditation certificates and logos when visiting the mechanic.

To find a good mechanic in many ways can be a preventive health measure as much as seeing a doctor. Especially when you find an honest and caring mechanic.
